Low Windows Experience Index Score GTX TITAN?

Thread Starter
Hello everyone!
So I recently did a fresh install of windows 7. Just got all the drivers installed, everything running smoothly. I ran the WEI and most scored 7.9 but graphics scored 6.0.

The reason I reinstalled was because I needed a fresh install of my gpu drivers since I was experiencing problems with nvidias latest. I installed the drivers that came with the disc. I am going to run a few benchmarks tomorrow.

Should I just re-run the assessment? Ignore it?

i7 3770k @stock
Gigabyte gtx titan @stock
16gb corsair veamgence
Asus maxiumus v formula

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Did you install chipset drivers as well?

Agreed that WEI is garbage, but unusually low scores may indicate an issue.

Everything installed as usual. The only difference is that I installed the gpu drivers from the disc. Not the latest because they're terrible.

Are they the 314.x drivers?

Sounds like it never kicked into 3d mode possibly. Did you try running with gpuz or something in the background and watching the clocks and usage? Also, did you restart after installing drivers?

No, I was experiencing artifacts in battlefield 3 with 314.x drivers as well as the 320.x
The drivers gigabyte included are 313.x
Until nvidia release a STABLE WHQL driver, I refuse to update. For the past 2 months their drivers have been a joke.

Ill install precision x and re-run.

So guys, just re-ran the assessment, seemed to fix itself. The only difference was this time I had precision X running in the background, where the clock speeds clearly rose as normal.

(Screenshot taken after the test)

Thanks for all your help guys!
(God, I hate WEI)
