Was buying a 7950 a bad bet? - Page 8

Honestly I cant remeber the exact link but its an honest assumption considering they have so much oc headroom and 1100 core is almost guaranteed. Ill let you find your own benches but they generally stack and factory ocd 760 against a stock 7950 so its not to hard to see it coming close to a 770. Also its been shown elsewhere that a 7950 most likely will oc to a 7970 specs so again another reason I'm making this leap of faith here.

edit: on phone atm so iI can grgrab links at a latter time as I stand by my" assumption"

Hard to find oc gpu comparison and im not trying to say the7950 is = to the 7970 ghz just saying that a stock 7970 is a reasonable baseline for a healthily oced 7950 http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/768?vs=829 and that the 760 is an voltage unlocked replacement for the 660 not the 670.http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/830?vs=854

Edit: this is all assuming your not even talking about the free game extra mem/bandwidth that a few games now and i assume more will use "bf4 is looking like a 2.5gb game".
