Yeah I wouldn't personally wait on the Formula because I've been down that road before with ASUS. It's features doesn't offer anything you can't get from the Hero or Extreme.

Actually I would like to tri-sli in the future and the onboard wifi and i think it has a better sound card. Plus it looks amazing.

If you're going Tri-SLI you need to be looking at getting a board with a PLX chip because the Formula is only capable of running x8/x4/x4. There's also a number of other gaming OC board options in the same price range from Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock that are available today if you want features like onboard WiFi and the integrated sound and thermal armor on the Formula are nothing but a gimmick. The sound uses the same upgraded Realtek chip as the other ASUS Z87 boards with a software layer and the only thing the armor might possibly do is trap heat.

You cant tri sli without a PLX chip on 1150.

the sound seals the deal for me.....120 dB SNR is way better than most dedicated sound cards
