Please help me choose an IPS monitor in $200-$300 price range

I have chosen all my stuff to start building my rig, down to the monitor. It's very difficult for me to go look in person side by side as the largest store I have is a small Tiger Direct with very low stock.

going to be running an i7 4770K and gtx 770 (rig will be oc obviously)

I use photoshop, zbrush, and maya, but I also game (mmo's and whatever else really interests me) I do not play 1st person shooter games (don't know if that matters for monitors)

I would like something 23"-27" no larger, no smaller. Must be IPS as I am coming from a Mac, and I prefer a monitor with no heavy anti-glare too. Heavy glare would probably make me nuts since I am used to very bright whites and very black blacks with the iMac screen.

I do not mind a glossy screen as it is what I am used to, but a matte screen if it has a great color display would be ok too.

So...if anyone has a favorite monitor that meets my needs, I would love to hear about it smile.gif

Seems like a QNIX or a Crossover monitor would be ideal for you.

or Auria sold in Microcenter.

These monitors aer IPS and also 1440p resolution.

The only monitor that is IPS by Auria is $400 (way above my budget on a monitor) frown.gif Also, I do not prefer a monitor that I can not buy from and online major retailer (sorry I should have mentioned that.

You can buy the Qnix QX2710 via Amazon.

It is basically the best monitor you can buy right now.

Thanks, but I will not deal with a product with no easy RMA. Maybe if I upped my limit to 350-370 I could get a product in the US easier?

My son-in-law recently purchased the LG below and has essentially the same rig you will have. He dont do much gaming either but primarily photography and applications. Due to all the various issues surrounding the more expensive IPS 2560 x 1440p name brand displays he decided to get this LG for now and is very satisfied with his choice:

Or consider this 27" below :

*** BestBuy will price match the above Newegg prices although you will have to pay your local sales tax:

+1 for these LG monitors. The best image quality and good responsiveness for the $200 to $300 range.
