That was my first thought as I read this...they actually had to say it will not be a bad port to PC. In other words people have come to expect a bad port to PC. If that is the attitude of PC gamers then PC gaming IS
probably dying regardless of any action by the developers or publishers. If the consumer looks at is as a poor product they aren't going to be purchasing it.
Though in my opinion on multiplayer only games like Titanfall there isn't much advantage to playing them on PC. It isn't like you could mod the game (the number one PC advantage and it is being taken away and replaced with cheap DLCs and yet people aren't complaining much). Things like FoV are typically locked to prevent another player from having an advantage. Though I am one of those people that doesn't care too much about graphics. I don't see the keyboard and mouse as being an advantage since you are playing against people who are using keyboard and mouse controls (and a few with a controller that are just wizards). So it isn't an advantage, but just the status quo. The comfort and ease of use for the controls just take time. Most console gamers I know will have a hand cramp in few minutes of using a keyboard. Right now I feel like a monkey humping a football with any gamepad or controller, but I haven't used one much beyond a PS2 emulator(all non-shooter games) and a couple hours here and there at friends' houses.Edited by Vagrant Storm - 6/24/13 at 6:00am
