which book is this, the one by knut? or some other,
If its another one could i get the name off you?

I wanted to start by learning SQL and C# (or possibly Java then C#).

Am I going about this the wrong way?

I don't know what I want to major in.. I wonder how to acquire a job that has something to do with working with the government. Like program missiles... or you know how they have drones (the unmanned flying things they are spending our tax money on, that are probably armed and dangerous)... well don't they need people to program and code for those things? How can I get started on a path like this? Is it Computer Science or Engineering I need to get into?

tl;dr
I know this is a Coding and Programing so I'll get started:
I want to learn SQL, should I start reading here or is it outdated information (2003 lecture, hmm):

C# too hard to start off with. or is this the more quick route to jumping into a language?
As a complete noob, I feel that C# might hide somethings going on in the background that I wont understand until I learn C# and start picking up the more-simple computer languages. If so, I don't mind a challenge..but I just want to know what's the best way to start?

You say you are out of college for quite some time and you describe yourself doesn't know programming at all, but then you want to get a perfect tech job in GOV which has NASA kind of requirement? You are very funny.
