Hi,

Iv'e had my media pc hooked up to my tv for a while now by s-video from my NVIDIA FX-5500. When i delete my graphics driver i can change the resolution to 1024x768 (not sure if my tv supports any higher) but when i install the latest driver it wont go higher than 800x600 and i have to scroll everywhere. 1024x768 is in the options but when i change it to 1024x768 it automatically changes back to 640x480. Im using Windows XP.

Thanks, Yuilly

Considering S-Video only allows 480i or 576i, I'd consider yourself lucky that 800x600 works to be honest.

But when the graphics driver is uninstalled it works up to 1024x768 fine, its only when i install the latest graphics driver that it wont let me go higher.

Pioneer is right about the limitations of s-video being at 480i(720x480) and I'd assume the reason you've previously experienced higher is because your display scaled it up to 1024x768.

Though I wish I could give you an answer closer to a solution.
