Looking for a motherboard that would suit my i5 2500k

Thread Starter
So i'm tired of my motherboard, its a terrible board its like impossible to overclock. I'm looking for the best motherboard for my i5 2500k. I currently own a Z68 motherboard. I'm looking for a motherboard that's a decent overclocker and I don't need SLI or crossfire. I like to do a single GPU only and I'm looking for something a bit future proof. So if I decided to get a new CPU, my motherboard would be compatible.

Budget price $130

socket 1155 is dead. no more future cpu releases for it so no future proofing.. however a great z77 board is the msi mpower.

MSI MPower is overkill, overrated , and wayyy over th eOP's budget. If you want to future proof, go with socket 1150 motherboards and a new processor to match it.

Otherwise, I'd get a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H. They are very solid boards. This should last you for awhile. Plus you could upgrade to Ivybridge.

I've got this board: ECS P67H2-A2

I've been impressed for the month or so I've had it, it does a fine job of overclocking my 2700k, rock solid, and more usb ports than you can shake a stick at.
