Power saving and triple screens

Hey guys,

I'm looking at side-grading from a U2711 to triple 24" screens and i was wondering on the newer 6 and 7 series GTX range what kind of power saving features would expect to see?

i know currently on my 570 i have to run nvidia inspector to lower the clock speed of my dual screen setup but i find the program buggy and clunky to use at times.

Anybody with a setup like this wanna share your results and thoughts on the subject.

Thanks for any help guys,

Anthony

My Titans downclock when not in use automatically via that GPU Boost technology.

All Nvidia GPU's since the 90's do this... However, Kepler is a much more efficient architecture than Fermi, and you should see lower power consumption with a new card, nonetheless.

When I had my 580s they would not downclock when using them in NV Surround mode for whatever reason. That's why I said that.

Oh, maybe they fixed that issue, then. I don't think GPU Boost 2.0 has much to do with it, though.
