Hard Drive Problem?

I don't know if this is anything to worry about, but I did not have this issue before I formatted and installed a new copy of windows 7 (was not present on my previous copy of windows)

Every once in a while, like once a day, music will stop playing for about 3 seconds, and the player will not respond in that time, and then it will resume play.

Today I noticed that during those 3 seconds, I hear what I think is the hard drive, and I don't really know how to describe the sound, but it sounded like hard drive maybe seeking.

Is the issue of the player something to worry about?

Does this mean that there is something wrong with one of the hard drives, and if so, is it safe to assume that it is the hard drive the mp3 files are placed on?

Since it happened with a new install, maybe check the power settings. May be trying to save power on you and throttling down then back up on you.

As far as I remember, HD Tune only works for one hard drive, and I can't choose which. I got 3.

I set to never turn off the hard disks, previously it was set to 20 minutes. You think that was the problem?

If you are hearing clicking sounds then it would be the hard drive. But most of the time if there clicking noises then the computer will just freeze or shut off after like a minute.

Quite possible.
