You're the only fanboy here. It's the VALLEY THREAD ON OCN.... I don't know what planet you are on... All Gpu's there are overclocked (at least 85% of them) and that's the Average FPS they all got from MULTIPLE users, and it should give users a good idea of how the avg performance of GPU's should be.

you say 7850 is greater than 660 and i laugh at you tongue.gif... The fastest 660 SLI is at 70.8 FPS, and the Fastest 7850 x fire is at 65 FPS.

OP people who say a GTX 660 OC can compete with a HD 7870 OC are in denial.

http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/05/15/asus_radeon_hd_7870_directcu_ii_v2_review/
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/04/01/asus_geforce_gtx_660_directcu_ii_oc_video_card_review/

you can see the HD 7870 OC(1195 mhz) beating the GTX 660 OC(1228 mhz) in every game. in Farcry 3 the HD 7870 OC allows 4x MSAA to be playable while the GTX 660 OC allows only 2x MSAA. In Hitman Absolution the HD 7870 OC is 17% faster than GTX 660 OC at 1920 x 1080 4x MSAA. in Max Payne 3 HD 7870 OC is 25% faster than GTX 660 OC at 1920 x 1080 4x MSAA. In Sleeping Dogs the HD 7870 OC is again faster by 25% at 1920 x 1080 High AA (SSAA medium FXAA high).

the perf scaling on HD 7870 is much better than GTX 660 with overclocking, the GTX 660 OC has no chance against HD 7870 OC. the GTX 660 has 25% lesser ROPs than HD 7870 which affect perf at high MSAA and also perf scaling with overclocking.

also OP the XFX HD 7870 Tahiti LE at 165 pounds is the best price perf card.

the card comes with Tahiti LE (1536 sp) and is clocked at 1 ghz. will match a GTX 660 Ti / HD 7950 (800 Mhz) at stock and when overclocked will match a HD 7970(925 Mhz)

With the release of the GTX 760, its a much better option in price/performance than the 7870XT. And the only 7870XT under 200 pounds is the PowerColor 7870 Myst. And that is limited in OCability by its crappy memory chips and cooling design.

OP should look into gtx760 pricing right now.

aria is selling the XFX HD 7870 Tahiti LE at 1 Ghz for 165 pounds. at those prices its price perf is simply the best.

Wasn't showing that price on PCPP when I posted that link. And even then that particular card is limited by crappy memory chips as per XFX (and cooling).
