Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
T-con input frame rate : FHD 50/60Hz, FHD 100/120Hz or QFHD 24/30Hz
Output frame rate: QFHD 50/60Hz, QFHD 100/120Hz or QFHD 48/60Hz
Motion interpolation but beyond the Tcon the panel must therefor be able to take in QFHD @120Hz thing is just because there is no bandwidth bottleneck after the Tcon doesn't mean anything because we are pretty much incapable of having a Tcon designed unless we shell out gigantic amounts of money.
Anyway the transmitter will be configured as VESA bit packaging as it should get limit the most unnecessary bits a little, there is no reason to go with JEIDA however I will test on whether the Tcon likes JEIDA (it might be horrible for colour accuracy though)
Well I have everything sorted about 5 extremely cheap boards to function as transmitters until I can get my hands on an EP269 based board.
Once I confirm that the Tcon can handle more I will sign myself into a NDA with Explore Inc (a Taiwanese company that specialises in various microprocessors) which will in turn provide me with specsheets of a future chip which I may under no condition disclose and reference PCB design so I can get a sample fabricated but before I can do that I have to have the board sampler also sign into this NDA.
It's a bit of a hush hush right now and I won't sign a mutual NDA since that is something that really needs some thoughts before doing since it is:
Original non disclosure time no disclosure of anything
12 month no disclosure time after original which is for the specsheet and the boarddesign however the product may be used and supplied in a pre assembled phase.
5 years which is the period in which the specsheet may be given freely but only if both partners agree.
Quite something of course it is not so simple as above though it is way more lenient than lets say a AMD/Nvidia/Intel NDA.
Here is a picture of some of the cheap boards I will order:Edited by maarten12100 - 8/16/13 at 2:15pm
