Haswell, whats the general consensus? Overclocks like crap or User Error?

Thread Starter
So I am wondering what the general consensus is for Haswell? Its been out for 3 weeks now, and I'm sure plenty of folks have had time to tinker around with one. So how does it perform and what are some key points? I haven't read much about Haswell, but here are some notes from my general observation. Please correct me if I am wrong

1. Runs extremely hot. The on board VRM easily adds 7-10C on top of Ivy clock for clock.

2. Doesn't OC well. Typical users see 4.3 to 4.5ghz. Some can get 4.6-4.7ghz but it ain't like past generations at all.

3. Overclocks vary way too wildly. Much more than previous Sandy and Ivy.

I just skimming through some threads the past 3 weeks....there seems to be no good news regarding Haswell. Everything just seems to be a complete mess. It doesn't OC high and it produces alot of heat. Could it also be user error too? I've read Haswell requires way more tinkering than Sandy/Ivy did.
