Tablet?

I will be purchasing a notebook for college in the coming months. (by April) I had never considered a tablet before, until I saw IBM's X60t. This thing is an dream laptop. It is build without any detail overlooked.

The setup I would be getting is as follows:
  • 12.1" SXGA+ TFT and Intel Core Duo L2500 LV (1.83GHz, 2MB L2, 667MHz FSB)
  • 1 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz SODIMM Memory (I would buy another stick from newegg to make it 2GB. Lenovo wants $600 for the 2GB option because it is 2GB on 1 dimm)
  • 100GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm Serial ATA (2.5")
  • Integrated Bluetooth PAN
  • ThinkPad 11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi wireless LAN Mini-PCIe US/EMEA/LA/ANZ
  • ThinkPad X60 Tablet 8 cell High Capacity Battery
Features that really impressed me were:
  • 7.5 Hours battery life
  • 1400 x 1050 resolution on a 12.1" screen (unheard of)
  • only 4.23 lbs and 1.3" thick
  • You can use your finger and the pointer device
  • 170o viewing angle, no glare, no reflection on screen
  • Active Rotate: the X60t uses a gyrometer that detects the orientation of device and automatically orientates the screen so it's the right side up for the way you are viewing it
  • Shortcut buttoms for tablet mode so you can do common tasks such
  • Finger swipe for biometric security
  • Active Protection System: a marquee piece of IBM software that protects your data in drop situations, it works by lifting the hard drives read/write head when sudden movement of the notebook is detected.
Cost with everything (including docking station, DVD burner, backpack, extra 1GB memory): $2460

So what do you guys think about Tablets? I don't want to get one and find out I hate it... This one is clearly the best Tablet IMO.

Definitely go for it, IBM (Lenovo) laptops are amazing and you won't be let down. As far as tablets go, maybe you could go to a store that lets you try before you buy? I love them because in normal laptop mode, they're normal laptops. But swivel them around and you can do wonders with them, the only reason I don't have one is they are very expensive.
