Battlefield 3 to be exact, using Origin thats all on my primary ssd.

My secondary is a WD Blue 1 TB. It also does it sometimes on images that are on the desktop and primary drive only

Also on a side note, is it bad that my secondary times out often.and i can always hear it start up, if this makes sense biggrin.gif

Unlike green drives the blues should maintain a constant 7200rpm. Are you saying you hear it revving up when you start or open applications?

Yes i hear it revving up when I start applications that were installed on a different drive, is there a place I can change when it times out or if I can keep it constantly running?

Windows power plan advanced options, Hard disk, Turn off hard disk after... can be set to zero/Never, or over 1000 minutes.

Regarding your HDD spinning up when you start a game installed on your SSD, do you have a pagefile moved to the HDD? Any programs installed on the HDD that might become active?
