Ok guys I have the rig up and running, It's pretty good, but I'm not pleased with the wiring and colour of the coolant. as you can see it turned out more of a maroon so I'll be changing to mayhems pastel white when it arrives

I also attempted a panorama (forgive the faults and quality)

I really like the PC in the cabinet thing like that, it looks like a TV smile.gif I think you should cut a hole in the back of the cabinet and route the cables through there, then it'll look amazing.

ahaa no cutting holes here, I wish I could but it's a college dorm, I pretty much wanted it to go on the desk but 2 to 3 monitors + the case would never have fit. I didn't have much choice on where to put it but nonetheless I actually feel pretty good about my solution, most the cables are hidden on top of the fridge underneath the shelf the PC is on (you can see a sneaky one poking out there)

Dorm room? This is SpartAAAA OCN! sneaky.gif

Buy some diaphragm/grommet for cable routing +/-matching the colour, cut a hole, install it.
It's going to look neat and nobody should complain.

they inspect every nook and cranny when you leave, I have already dealt with having to pay for damaged things at college before

That is crazy design tv / pc cabinet design.
Who ever heard of such a cabinet without inlet / outlet holes at the rear of the cabinet.

Seriously you'll be doing them a favor by making the improvement.
You got the skills - we can see that by quality PC built.
Mod the cabinet.
as said, just do it neat with the grommets or U-Channel rubber.

It will finish off the whole PC project nicely and make those external cables disappear.
If only all PC cable hiding was so easy biggrin.gif

Go and tell them, that exposed cables are prone to mechanical damage which can cause a fire.
Bribe/frame maintenance person to do this for you and keep some official record.
