Hey! Finally getting a gaming pc after using my old one for over 10 years (solitaire at stable fps is quite a stretch at this point...), will be updating the thread with pics as I build it
Stuff:
Now why can't this chicken just grill itself so I can get to work on this beauty? T_T
Going mITX is great if you don't have other pc users in the house, I make my PC look big and mean, otherwise I will get home from work and find it missing from the desk and being used to play playstation emulators.
So I meant to reply a *bit* earlier but was somewhat busy benching and all the important stuff!
So on to business
Unboxing mobo:
Ram inserted: (I didn't actually plan this, but it goes really well with the z87-pro!)
My attempt at clean cable management: (Sorry for skipping a huge part of the build, I was just THAT anxious to put it together :x)
Damn but this thing looks awesome:
Finished build:
Window closeup:
Desk setup: (I SERIOUSLY need to get rid of this desk :|)
Desk close up: (early valley test, don't pin me on that! haha)
Coming from a 10 year old pc the thing that astounded me the most was definitely the SSD's speed, what kind of sorcery is this? Takes me less to get on windows than to get to the loading screen for it on my old pc, now that is just wrong.
Also got a pretty good 4670k, stable at 4.4 on 1.25v with ~84-85 max temp on load (left aida64 overnight). Haven't got any artifacting yet with the 780 at 1402/3297, but it gets somewhat unstable at 1409+ clocks. No clue on max memory yet but will be playing around with it today.
Overall incredibly pleased with overall aesthetics (well apart from that whole this desk is awful thing) and performance
Thanks! I was a bit hesitant about the mobo once I realised it was gold as well but it works remarkably well with orange ram sticks and the black contrast from everything else. The SSD was definitely the biggest shock! I used to get up, do my business, wash up, make breakfast, and sit down just in time to start doing anything on my old pc haha.

Thanks! It really does feel like I was living in the past now. Going from hardly being able to play 5 year old games on low to maxing out AA/AF on crysis 3 and still pulling over 40fps all the time is... interesting.
This is sweet! I can remember the first time i upgraded and got myself and ssd and was able to max out the game i was playing at rock steady 60fps. I just had a big grin and occasionally bursted out a small laugh just running around and enjoying the frame rate
Hey I am currently building the same system! Same CPU, same MoBO, Same GPU with gskill 8gb gskill ram, HX850 PSU, and a 500gb 840 EVO, all inside a Corsair 600t case. Haven't finished it yet but it's good to see another person with the same build! Kudos!
I am a fellow GTX 780 SC ACX owner. I am looking for a good overclock within Presision X, but it's hard to find. Since i don't know much about OC'ing a GPU i am looking for the numbers. Can you help me?
How did you install the motherboard on the 410 case?
I have the exactly same motherboard and the same case.
However the stand-off doesn't fit the motherboard.
How did u get this?
