Wonky HWmonitor temps for A8 5600K ?

I get totally different readings for CPU temp between the Asrock Tuning Utility and CPUID HWmonitor.

Also get a reading of 5C for the IGP at idle - which is obviously wrong, I use a Zalman CNPS X5, not nitrogen.

Loading up the CPU gives me an 85C reading on HWmonitor, which looks bad but I doubt that it is accurate, so is HWmonitor no good for these APUs ?

It's looking like theirs incompatibilities, have you tried coretemp?

Hmm, not yet, I've seen coretemp go bonkers too, I'll give it a go - may as well.
I've got Sapphire Trixx reporting 15C lower than GPUZ as well.

Have the software writers not caught up with the new products ?

Having trouble understanding the fan control on this board.

For the CPU, in the BIOS, there is both an option for taget temperature of the CPU and target Speed of the fan. I don't see how you can have both at the same time because the fan would be trying to aim for two values at the same time.

Not only that but the option for automatic speed is on at the same time as the option for selecting speed manually - you get to choose from a range of 1 to 9

So I have automatic control selected, below that I have the target CPU temp selected, and below that I have a target speed level.

If it is on automatic, why does it need a target speed - it doesn't make sense.

The fan is just going at it all the time, no sign of any automatic speed variation, and I don't know why.
