P5B Deluxe cooling - Page 2

hye ninja boy i just installed that cooler and it seems to be working pretty good, running 1.65 v nb and getting 24c right now at 3.88 ghz on the e6400 i have

edit: ok i should be a little more discriptive, i got that one today and its pretty nice, solid copper as far as i can tell, interesting design and looks really cool (just to add), it could use a fan i think but i have my active cooling for my ram so that helps a little bit

i am still runing it to find out if it really helps, so far it seems like its giving me about a 6c drop over the stock cooling but its hard to tell with how coold my room is sincei dont keep track of that

did anyone rip off the ASUS plating over the northbridge? and put a fan on top of it?
I would just put them on just in case. The P5B deluxe has the Chassis Fan connectors, so you might as well use them. Unless you want to have a very quite computer. Though, 40mm fans won't make too much noise.

Ninja boy,
You right. I should buy the E6300 instead and save $50. And yes, you could use DDR2 1000 but why you have to spend more dollars unless you intend to go a lot father like FSB>1100 cuz I hear other guy run same RAM at FSB1100.

HI Digitalh3lix, I can do pics for you if I have time. Xmas coming man, so many thing to do. It kind of easy why you need pics. 40mm fan fit perfectly on both HS by a piece of double side tape. Just carefull when you remove the ASUS cover (save it in case you need to put it back for warantee).
