anyone who is doing a review of overclocked cards should know how to overclock. i wasn't looking at the 7950 comparison as much as the 660ti.

go look at how little the 760 was overclocked, link on the you tube page. its an utter fail in comparison with other reviews.

this just reinforced my opinion that linus is an idiot.

What's the 760s OC? I don't know how you read kepler OCs lol. Anyways, the fact that the 1100/1575 7950 can compete with an OCd GTX770 is something even the highest overclocking 760s would have a hard time doing

the 7950 at those clocks is equivalent to a 7970 GHz. nearly every 7950 can do that easy even without voltage changes.

The overclock clocks are pretty strange. It's in the description menu.

If you open the spreadsheet you'll see the 760 was given an OC of +100 and if you mouse over they have notes on it stating that it was able to push +110 but power limit was going on and off with that setting.

It just shows that for the card they got, the OC potential was not so good. (correct me if I'm wrong here) So if it comes with a core clock of 980 Mhz adding an OC of +100 to it would give it a base clock of 1080.

Linus does also mention that the OC they do are OCs that most people could easily reach, and I think that's the point of the OC they do. They just want to show an average OC and what the performance of the card would be with those clocks.

I think it just seems strange to you because of how its presented in the table. They definitely could have done a better job of presenting it on a table.

The AMD cards (and some earlier Kepler cards) are easily understood because they separate the stock from the OC with a separate row. As for the Nvidia cards (at least for the 7xx series) they show the card with the + clocks they reach without separating it the way they did with the red team.

Basically the 760 was given a +100 for the core and memory while the 780 (just using this as an extra example and reference) was given a +130 for the core and a +300 for the memory.
