So little info

Alright so as stated in a thread I just started in the Intel Mobo section I've recently acquired a crap load of comp parts. While digging through the various rigs and boxes I can across an AM2 motherboard that would be useful if it can handle the processor that I have which is the AMD Phenom 9750 X4 cpu as seen Here
I've been trying to find an actual list of what this board can handle for CPU's but I'm not really unable to find very much information. I've seen that it can accept Sempron and Athlon processors but that is about it. I was wondering if it might be able to accept the Phenom with a Bios update? there is just so little info on this board that it is a little ridicules.

I can find the original system that the board came out of which can been seen at this Link.

So what are your thoughts I'm still researching but figured if the odd info can be found this is the best place to ask. >.>

That is the exact board yes. I've found some things but other than what you find when purchasing it I've not found much else.

The only thing I could find is that is a Foxconn RS690M03 board that only supports Athlon/Athlon X2's.

Being a base AM2 board it likely doesn't have the features to support a Phenom even if you did have some sort of BIOS compatibility (such as split-plane power).

That is what I figured but it never really hurts to ask. I can contact the guy that I got all the stuff from and see if he is still willing to let me snag the 3 amd cpus that he was going to throw in as part of the deal.

I would have thought that if the TDP of the athlon x2 5200 (as used in that example) was the same as the quad core phenom then it could work.

AM2+ cpu's will work in AM2 motherboards but without the increased HT speed and, as mentioned above, any power saving features that only work on AM2+ motherboards.

You might not need to update the bios for the cpu to work but it wont be recognised in the bios or in windows.
