AMD vs Intel Build

Ok firstly, if you've seen me post before about not being sure what to put in my new build then I'm sorry tongue.gif I guess I just keep changing parts every time someone makes a suggestion...

I have a £600 budget for a gaming/multitasking PC, I will be using it for playing games on the highest settings at 30fps and using multiple applications at the same time over two monitors. So I needed plenty of memory and a decent gpu to boot. After weeks of deliberation I've boiled it down to one of the following 2 options:

Intel Rig:

AMD Rig:

The AMD one sounds good in theory, since I don't typically play AI-intensive games which need a great cpu, 16gb ram sounds very tasty for multitasking, and I've heard great things about the Zalman case. Then again, the Haswell i5 obviously crushes the AMD cpu, and 8gb memory should be more than enough. Thoughts? smile.gif

Personally i would lean to the AMD Build in this case.

With the AMD platform you can OC, Which is not the case with the Intel cpu you have chosen in the list.

More ram is always nice as well(I personally create ramdisks)

I have actually just ordered the parts for the Intel build, and upgraded the motherboard for some better performance and to make any future memory upgrade easier. I don't really plan on overclocking so the i5 just seemed like a better option, and I actually went around £70 over budget in the end but I'm pretty pleased with the components.
