Yeah depending on how old the motherboard I'm getting will be, I may have to update the bios but I'm not sure which files on "Utilities" actually help with bios updating so I don't brick the motherboard.
No, because those are documents. It's just information, it's not something you would install or anything like that. They are lists so that you know if your CPU or memory is compatible before buying. I mean, download one and take a look.
All you need to look at is what's underneath that. Even then, there will be things you absolutely don't need, such as drivers for parts of your motherboard that you'll never use. For example, I don't use onboard audio, so I would not be downloading its driver. The same is true for the RAID driver and the Asmedia drivers. That's just how it would be for me. For you, it could be totally different; only you can know how it will be different for you.
