I'm only playing at 1080p, no plans (this year) for multiple monitors.
GTX 760 performs better, but the HD 7950 has 384-bit with 3GB vRAM, but again, I won't be using multiple monitors.
Which one would be the better buy?
Budget is $300.
Linus had only increased the core of the MSI GTX 760 by 120MHz
and the memory by 300MHz
which had resulted in his test the 760 being slower than the OCed 7950. If you go to Techpowerup site, they had increased the core of the MSI GTX 760 by 160MHz
and the memory by 458MHz!
which had resulted the MSI GTX 760 being 3% faster than a stock 7970 GHz Edition or basically equal @ 1080p (depending on the game, of course
). Techpowerup had even proven the same with EVGA SC ACX & ASUS DCU II 760 in the same situation.

So going to your question, "which is better @ 1080p?" I'll say they are basically equal (performance-wise
) depending on the GTX 760 & 7950 Boost you're considering to buy with OCing playing a factor. And like they always say...every gpu is not going to OC the same but
if you aim for the 760, I suggest you stick with either MSI, EVGA, Gigabyte & ASUS. If you decide to buy the 7950 Boost, buy either Sapphire or MSI.Now all you have to do is pick 1

Absolutely agree with you 100%
And if I had to make a choice for myself, I'll buy the 760 and put the extra cash towards something else...besides, I have 3 of the 4 games that comes with the 7950 & I don't really care for Blood Dragon but that's me Edited by drBlahMan - 6/25/13 at 8:43pm
