[Help] Computer freezes randomly!?

Thread Starter
My computer freezes completely randomly, sometimes when I boot up, sometimes when I'm watching a video, sometimes when I'm listening to music. I thought it was a problem with the hard drive so I bought an SSD and use that now, the problem still goes on. I tried updating all my drivers and changing the RAM settings in the BIOS to 1600 MHz, I also tried to update all of the drivers and run windows memory diagnostic, the problem still goes on. I've ran security scans and there are no viruses.

When the computer freezes I can't move the mouse, when I try hitting the Caps Lock button the light doesn't turn off. Ctrl+Alt+Delete doesn't work, the only way I can get out of it is to manually shut down the computer. When it does freeze, some weird buzzing noise comes out of my headset.

PC Specs:
ASUS P8P67 EVO
Intel 2600k (Not Overclocked)
Corsair H100
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B
Galaxy GTX 560 Ti OC Edition
Kingston HyperX 3K SSD (Boot Drive)
WD 1TB Black (Media Drive)
Corsair AX750

Any help would be greatly appreciated smile.gif

This is what normally happens after overclocking using an Offset voltage if using too high of an LLC setting with C3 and C6 enabled. So the only thing I can think of is experimenting by disabling C3 and C6 to see if it still happens. If it does, then maybe we can work on making it possible to keep them enabled without having these random lock-ups under low CPU loads.

It's a computer!

Does your motherboard support XMP? If so, then you can activate an XMP profile instead of setting your RAM speeds manually.
Otherwise, have you tried resetting BIOS settings to default, any hardware overheating?
