650ti boost vs 760?

Thread Starter
Hi guys,
I'm going to buy a graphics card for my first gaming build this year. Here are the current specs of my computer (I'm going to buy):

Asus Z87 Sabertooth, i7 4770K, 16GB Vengeance RAM, Hyper 212 Evo, Seasonic Gold 650W, Fractal Design R4, Samsung 128GB SSD, WD 1TB Black HD, (graphics card).

The 760 just got officially announced and I was going to buy it when I discovered that two 650ti boost cards would pretty much be the same price (around $20~$50 more expensive). When doing my research, I found that 650ti boost in SLI actually beat higher end cards like the: 670, 680.

If I do get the 650ti boost, then I will get a performance increase over the 670, 680, AND the 760. However, here are some downsides:

Some problems with SLI (microstutter, power consumption etc...) and the fact that 650ti boost is an older card (by like 2~3 months).

Could you help me decide which choice is better? Either a single 760 or 650ti boost in SLI? Either way, it pretty much costs the same.

Thanks in advance!!! biggrin.gif

P.S. If I do get the 650ti boost, which one should I get? MSI or ASUS?
