You should stress test by setting a manual (fixed) voltage, then, once determined stable, switch to Adaptive Voltage (for regular, non stress testing usage) at the same vcore that was proven stable on fixed voltage testing.

That being said, it is quite often the case that a system will prove stable on synthetic stress tests then prove unstable in certain games. Usually just means you need a small increase in voltage.

Thanks and I have been doing this after watching the videos from Asus with JJ and linus where they stated to only stress test on FIXED or manual mode wink.gif

I have strayed away from running prime95 because in many of the videos I watched with JJ from ASUS or Linus tech tips they stated that the coding has not been correctly updated for Haswell and you could damage your processor.

Ah i was not aware of that, I don't own a Haswell myself. Last 2 CPU's I stressed were Ivy's.

Hmmm...back to the drawing boards I suppose

Just remember there are billions and billions and billion of microscopic transistors in a processing unit and remember that all of them are subject to friction. it only takes 1 transistors to be hampered just once.
