Either should work for my needs (system in sig) and are similarly priced. The OCZ is modular but only Bronze rated while the SPI is Gold. I would consider the ZT 650 with the free Far Cry 3 but I already own it. Any other suggestions in this price range are surely welcome. Thanks.

What do you need to power?

Both of them are decent mid-range units, but I would go with the OCZ ZT. The reason being is that it's an indy regulated PSU and offer full modularity. In price range of the Sparkle though, I would go with the Rosewill Capstone 650w. It's better than both units for $76.50 after using the promo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182071

It does lack modularity though.

But yes, it would be helpful to know what you will be powering as well as your overall budget.

Powering the system in my profile. Basically an OC'd 8320, 7950 3Gb, 16Gb mem, SSD, 2tb HDD, pump and 5 120mm fans.

My last 2 units have been PCP&C units and have been solid. I actually migrated my 1 Kw unit into this system but its way overkill, getting up there in age and I believe starting to go out. I figure I'm due for a new unit regardless since all of my gear is less than 8 months old except for the PSU being 8 years+ in age.

You could do with 550 watts just fine

The Rosewill Capstone is hard to beat in bang for buck
