The Play or Non-Play edition?

IMO, the Non-Play edition. Stock can be a better experience, but its a little less streamlined. If you are coming over from something like iOS, then HTC's Sense 5 or Samsung's TouchWiz would be a more comparable experience, with Sense 5 being a bit better in terms of responsiveness (TouchWiz has way too many "fancy" animations that stutter and ruins the experience, although its more idiotproof than Sense 5 if you don't know how to use a phone, and I'm not referring to you Frick tongue.gif).

If you want to jump into plain old Android, you'll have to deal with the stark contrast in user experience compared to iOS or WindowsPhone.

Andandtech have the correct spec sheet, S4 Pro(Krait 200, 1.5Ghz on phones) is not ths same as Snapdragon 600 APQ 8064T/AB(Krait 300, 1.7-1.9Ghz).

I think the Non-Play is going to better for a beginner, the Play edition are for developers & enthusiasts imo.

I was able to find this page which contained the "correct" specs that matches what you posted. Thanks for the clarification sherlock!
