I've got a Seagate 4TB on an external eSATA dock, it works great, no problems at all.... until I move it to a new system and mount it internally. Then it shows up as unallocated and needs to be initialized to be used. once it's initialized it works perfectly, but of course whatever had been on there, was wiped.

Taking the drive BACK to the original computer, same issue in reverse, works internally on the other comp, but when I plug it into the dock again, it wants to be initialized and shows as unallocated again. (I haven't tried it internally instead of the dock, no spare SATA ports on the mobo)

Anyone have any idea what might be going on? I haven't seen this kind of thing since the 90's, back with early CDs and stuff. confused.gif
