Hey all,

I have come down with a big problem... I am looking to build a PC and there are two RAM kits I am gonna buy, but I don't know which one to get...
I don't have a bunch of money, so here they are...

1600MHz Ram 16GB: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/pny-memory-md16384k4d31600x9

VS
1866MHz Ram 16GB: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/geil-memory-gev316gb1866c9dc

They are at different prices, and I need 16GB.

Thanks,

-Kai

1866 is faster. So if you can stretch it, obviously get the 1866. Although you've said nothing about what platform you intend to install it onto, what your primary uses are, or even why you need 16GB.

I need 16GB because I do a LOT of rendering and editing, and running virtual machines. I also design personal sites with Wordpress, WebMatrix, and DotNetNuke. I game all the time too.

Windows 7 Ultimate....I don't wanna stretch that far, if it isn't going to significantly increase performance...

I don't believe you will see enough difference in the performance to justify the cost of the 1866 if you can get the 1600 at 90 dollars if not I would get the 1866 because it is cheaper..

Thanks man, I would've done the exact opposite. You just saved me some money.
