PCIe 8x 2.0 and NVidia SLI 780 gtx's

Hi everyone,

I am at the point where i'm about to pull the trigger on 2 x 780gtx's for SLI and am wondering if my current rig \ motherboard will be fine, specs as follows;

i7 2600K @ 5.0ghz watercooled (Just a H100)
16gb ram @ 1600mhz
Asus P8P67 Pro (2 x PCIe 16 x 1 or 8 x 2)
Adaptec 6805 Raid card (in the 4x slot and it works apparently lol)
Current GPU = ATI6970 2gb
3 x 1080p screen for tri screen setup

So my main question, will i be majorly bottlenecked if i put in 2 x 780gtx's with the PCIe 8x 2.0 slots? I will be upgrading the board / cpu in a year or so, but really dont wanna be doing it now, plus with the 2600K running the way it is, I really dont see a point to upgrading, but on the other hand, I dont wanna go and spend up big on the 780's if it's going to be running like ass on my current setup.

Any help will be really appreciated :-)

You´ll be fine.. the differences are that minor, that its almost not noticable.
(for now) maybe in the next years it will change, but now you´re set to go!

Might get a few more frames going from 8x 2.0 to 16x 3.0, but not enough to justify the full cpu, mobo switch.
