You obviously didn't read the proprietary connector part....
Wait, what? Heh...well I guess I was assuming that the people around the office knew what they were talking about when they said it was built into the Xbox since they are Xbox maniacs. They said it was a lens on the front. Seeing as how I could careless what it actually looked like I haven't look in detail at any pictures and those that I have seen never have the kinect with it. If it won't function without it why even bother taking a picture without it? Probably to make it look better I suppose
But thanks for the clarification. In light of this...all we are talking about is a simple pin-out and you're done...provided you can make a driver for it. I figured the proprietary connector was an internal one since that is the only type of connector that could actually pose a problem to getting it on a PC. My guess is that it will be lacking some hardware to make it compatible with a USB bus...or else includes hardware to make it NOT be compatible with USB.
Well, hell, this make all my concerns about the Kinect vanish...for the most part anyway. If I get an Xbox One it will just be shoved in the corner of the TV stand using its night vision to stare at a wooden wall. Though this is assuming that its presence is required and not its input for the xbox to work.
