Mac Pro was interesting imo, the new design is a nice idea and makes it more space-efficient. iOS 7 isn't bad either.

The garbage can? Really? Interesting? Nice? sicksmiley.png

Look at the stock, itself -- the moment the ruling was in Samsung's favor, the stock took a nose dive.

BTW...<~ Was an investor...Sold my stock when it was high, last year -- Thank god.

Keep it coming down. I can pray this will be a repeat of the first time Apple lost Jobs, it was marvelous for investors thumb.gif

Will be interesting to see where their stock goes when the 5S is announced, and as a lot of people have suspected...a lower end iPhone that comes in a range of colors.

That will either be extremely popular and send stock sky high, or it will ruin the premium feel of apple....I suspect peopl will eat it up!

Even so I don't think another iteration of the iPhone will cause a significant bounce back for AAPL. They need something new again, something that people want.

Exactly but, what most of you are also excluding are the court cases that are coming to head.

Investors don't just care about new product -- They care about the company and it's direction.

Apple opened about 10 patent lawsuits last year, it's all that made headlines...Now, they've lost the biggest one of them all and investors believe a landslide is coming.

There's not much you can do, even with new product to change the minds of thousands of investors, particularly those that bought into the original legitimacy of the lawsuits...

Yeah I understand that, but if they sell millions and millions of the cheaper iPhones (depending on the price of the unit itself, and plans) in a very short amount of time, the stocks at least in the short term should reflect that. In the long term I doubt they'll come up with anything as exciting as the iPhone and iPad.

Yes the iPhone and iPad were amazing, but it's hardly like apple just came up with this product that NO ONE had made before. We had touch phones years before the iPhone came out. Apple only perfected the formula and were rewareded for their "efforts" and same with the iPad. It was only logical to make it bigger and sell it as a media device. I remember the iPod videos days, when Archos was pretty much one of the only known makers of a large screen device meant for multimedia. The idea of a big screen with the ability to play videos, music was my dream. The iPod video was great but the screen was tiny.

Will be interesting to see if they ever bring that watch thingy into the market. I personally think it is a complete waste, they're digging for the next big thing, but i think they found a turd instead of gold this time.

I disagree w/this.

In the current market, image means more than anything -- Look at Paula Deen...Even if she sold MILLIONS due to her supporters, she's still going down because she's now tarnished her public image.

The same is true of Apple. Apple made us, the investors believe that they were not only righteous in their cause but, they were going to reclaim what was stolen from them...Many investors held their stocks from that day to the ruling and Apple, lost.

While product does matter, it's not the end-all, be-all, anymore...

They have been giving free iPhones for years with a 2 yr contract, I don't see how adding something to the bottom end is going to help their stock value.

What they should do is split the company into one that serves enterprise and one that serves consumers.
