If I remember correctly the Bitfenix strips are 12v and you should be able to switch them with a molex to 3 pin adapter with no problem.

Plug it into the molex, if it uses the yellow it's a 12v, red is 5v.

I should also point out that you should just make sure that the current draw of however many LEDs you are connecting will not exceed what the fan controller will be able to output
