Source engine is still very weak when it comes to rendering things fast. Have you even tried CS GO / L4D2 / TF2 at min and max settings? And enabling/disabling multicore rendering and trying how input lag feels? Then trying a game on ut3 engine like RO2 and even with oneframethreadlag it is more responsive than l4d2 at max settings
Doesn't make sense that raw input causes increased latency. It can change the feel, which could make people think it adds some delay or some other negative characteristic.
Why it doesnt make sense than raw input causes higher delay? Because its considered so in the internet by people who dont test anything? Maybe it can be buffered or goes round windows.
What exactly is that "feel"? mouse movement is the same, just higher or lower delay.
Mouse is more sluggish / slower with raw input, its more disconnected from hand movement. I also get 5% less acc with lg with it, because I dont use any strafe aim or positioning, purely aim with mouse.
Only time I remember when raw input was more responsive is in gmod on huge map (40fps) with water + all reflections that made input lag felt like game run at 10fps, raw input there really made mouse more responsive.Edited by Berserker1 - 6/27/13 at 11:14pm
