Yeah. its an LG panel, but so is pretty much every 1440p monitor available. So if you want to put it your way, then you'd have to classify every single 1440p/1600p as a Korean monitor. The Monoprice and Auria are most definitely assembled in the USA. EQD, the manufacturer of the Auria, is most definitely a USA based company. Feel free to check it out yourself: Link to EQD.

And Monoprice is a CA based company. So they are most definitely not a Korean company.

So unless you classify it by panel, in which every 1440p IPS/PLS monitor out there is Korean, then no. Neither the Auria or the Monoprice are Korean as both are built and assembled in the USA.

Just because they are American companies does not mean they are assembled in the US.

Every company assembles in oversea factories...they don't import every part and then put it together here.

By the credentials of the OP i would go for the dell. As for the korean panel phobia going on here i would agree with Kinaesthetic and say that they all pretty much come from korea. I like my Qnix and i have a square-trade warranty.

So to wrap up, i would get the dell between those two as i have always had pretty good luck with Dell over Asus. And Korean direct monitors have their place in the market so there is no reason to try and spread blunt statements condemning products that they may fit just fine with people with certain specifications they are looking for.
