Hey guys, I just picked up an Asus Maximus VI Hero and a 4770K.

I've got the multiplier at 44 and 1.232 volts - about 65C while playing BF3 and 85C in OCCT after about five minutes. I've been fine in all my games both temps + stability wise so I think 4.4 GHz is the sweet spot until I get brave enough to de-lid this baby.

CPUZ

3DMARK11

Cinebench = 9.413 pts

I'm looking for some 2400 MHz RAM (2x4 GB kit) that would both look and perform well in my new rig since I had a stick of my RipJaws 8GB (1600 MHz) kit go bad on me.. I was interested in the Trident X and the Z Series but I'm not sure which I should choose. I like the look of the Trident and I don't see any real reason not to go for it performance/reviews wise.

Does anyone have anything to say about my choices?

Thanks! thumb.gif

Looks like they are probably the exact same memory with different heat spreaders. Pick the one that looks best to you biggrin.gif

Thanks, I had a feeling it was the same... I'll probably go with the Trident then since it will probably look better, IMO.

Anyone think those aren't the best choices? Why?

Good choice smile.gif you can't really go wrong with G Skill, and the Trident series are so sexy looking biggrin.gif

And good luck on the RMA. I had to do an RMA with them about a year ago and it was a very good experience so hopefully you won't have any issues thumb.gif
