And again. If you are spending the extra cash for an AMD chip that runs at 5 ghz, you are looking for performance... and at that point, not only is the 3770k faster, but its cheaper to boot. This new chip, unless dirt cheap, has no valid market segment. It has no place being used by anyone except those who flat out refuse to buy an Intel CPU.
Which is to say: The only reason this hopped up 5ghz chip will sell, is to people who are ignorant of the available options, or are far too proud to run anything other than their precious AMD.
What we are referring to is this 5ghz amd line. What is it?
Is it just a hot clocked 8 core with no significant change to anything else? If so, you can bet your bottom it will tank.
