Playstation 4 Network

Thread Starter
Hey guys, my first post in the Playstation section! My question is regarding the network. I haven't seen much news out there regarding it. I know Microsoft came out and stated 300,000 dedicated servers (while not all will be run for games) it is a major improvement from what the had.

My concern is, with a decent amount of people making the switch over to Playstation this time around, how are the online servers going to be? I know there was lag at times with the PS3. I own both a 360 and a PS3. If I want to play online, it's a no brainer to boot up the XBox.

Has anyone heard rumors, leaks, solid info. regarding anything related to the Playstation Network?

Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything. But you have to assume that their servers will be receiving updates considering that PS+ is now mandatory for online gaming.

Yeh I believe in an interview they were focused on improving the network quality, but in order to do so they needed to offset the cost by mandating PS+ to play online. It's a good move I think, especially since PS+ seems to be pretty feature heavy already.

I want to say that I also read that they will be improving their servers since PS+ will be required. Which I hope they have taken care of by launch because PSN is sloooow. Hopefully the store will get a big update too because its painfully laggy. It is the only thing I hate about Sony, their poor online service (albeit free), its the only thing that Microsoft has the edge with.
