for GTA 4, it could run it at low settings, but for minecraft and counter strike, you could go to town. i would wait for kaveri to come out though. the iGPU on it will be amazing!

ok cool ask on a another website this I mean i3 CPUs are budget Intel CPUs for light gaming and overall entertainment.

And comparatively, an i3 with a good discrete video card is able to trump A10 5800K (With its own video card).

Go on seeing benchmarks from this page onwards -

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/a10-6700-a10-6800k-...

i3 3220 w/ Intel HD Graphics is weaker than 5800K but with a discrete video card, it is much stronger.

5800K is one of the entry level gaming APUs. If you can afford a good video card (Even an HD 7770), just get FX 6300 Vishera along with the said GPU and you would see great performance improvements than an APU.

GTA IV is one of the very demanding games out there and an APU can never run it properly. By the gods if you would be using ICEnhancer too, forget about it. whats does he mean ?

I wouldn't skimp out on the memory, get at least a 8GB kit rated for 1866 MHz. Or even higher speeds like this 2133 MHz kit would do nicely. I've seen people allocate 2GB of memory to the iGPU, which will be good in games like GTA IV that are purely vram hogs. Plus the extra memory speed will offer better frame rates.
