Which GPU!! help

Hello,

I'm spanish guy that has looking that page for a few months and now i need a second opinion about my situation, i had a XFX 7970 DD on RMA the webpage where i bought it said me that i have select a GPU from 500E to 550 aprox. The website is www.coolmod.com, there are:

nvidia link http://www.coolmod.com/list/2845/1772/2/1/NVIDIA-PCI-Express.htm
amd/ati link http://www.coolmod.com/list/2841/1772/2/1/AMD-PCI-Express.htm

I dont know if i can buy a lower price gpu and with the rest of money buy something else.

They offered me ASUS 7970 MATRIX PLATINIUM but i think that this card is low perfomance than others that are more cheap like gigabyte 7970 3xfan OC.

Can you help me and look the pages of nvidia and ati series?

Thanks a lot for your time biggrin.gif

I'd go with one of the GTX680 from Nvidia. 7970 and 680 may be very close together, but if you ever want to go crossfire/sli SLI GTX680 will beat the CFX 7970 every time. And it uses less power.
This one with 4gb VRAM http://www.coolmod.com/product/18366/0/0/1/T-Grafica-Gigabyte-GeForce-GTX680-OC-4GB-GDDR5-Juego-Metro-Last-Light.htm. thumb.gif
EDIT: If you were willing to spen 100 more, you could get a GTX780, which is a significant boost......

Yeah im trying to get from them a lower price for gtx780 but it is in process xD
You dont think that this http://www.coolmod.com/product/18806/0/0/1/T-Grafica-Gigabyte-Radeon-HD-7970-Crysis-3--Bioshock-inf.htm is much better than the nvdia? Maybe the benchmarks i saw trolled me.

Thanks smile.gif

If you can get additional value/money back from them, go with the 7970. If not, I would get the 680 because SLI scales better than CFX. So if you ever want to add another card, you'll get better performance from NVIDIA with multi-GPU setups...usually. Just my 2cents.gifsmile.gif

I think it's less troublesome to get another 7970 and cfx instead of spending more money to sli the 680?

OP if you can get money back get a HIS HD 7970 iceq x2 ghz. HIS HD 7970 iceq x2 ghz uses a high quality reference HD 7970 PCB. dual 8 pin power. unlocked voltage and excellent cooler. also check if you can fit this card in your case as its 311mm long.

if you cannot get money back go for ASUS HD 7970 MATRIX PLATINUM. it uses a high quality custom PCB . excellent cooler. unlocked voltage.

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/57894-asus-hd-7970-3gb-matrix-platinum-edition-review.html

at stock the HD 7970 Ghz is on par with GTX 770 and faster than GTX 680. at average overclocks of 1150 - 1200 mhz it will match a GTX 770 / GTX 680 at 1250 - 1300 mhz.
