TS140 i5 4670K temps - Page 3

to each his own me I will keep using pc gaming I prefer it and rarely ever use consoles but thats me I like to use my setups for alot more than just gaming rendering video / recording gameplay with friends and such / hacking and tweaking my config files for games / and in general the more options and better graphics and like for instance BF3 64 multiplayer maps consoles as of recent cant do this.

The benefits of PC over console the list is huge on the perks PC has that console doesnt and wont have anytime soon yes PC in general costs more initially but the games are also cheaper and often prices drop on PC version far faster and more than on console. Take a look at steam game prices vs console game prices fact you can multi task do college work and also browse web and listen to music and such while gaming rendering or simply do bussiness stuff all are perks of PC consoles dont have also PC versions of games often have stuff consoles dont and wont have for instance call of duty world at war custom made zombie maps there are thousands of awesome ones simpsons for instance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg5s828Ge8A or yotes lair http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pl2E7iGngDQ or 64 player maps on BF3 the list goes on think about the perks PC has then ask yourself was console a better option or not the PC perks I have listed are just a few of them.

Good job! I feel better now. The "void warranty of" was new to me today, so I sort of felt like getting kicked in the face. The fact that I still need to put in another $400 for a new monitor eats @ me, but I would have the perfect system for BF4 and that would keep me busy for 2 years.

understandable Intel has truly been trying to cripple overclocking and been shunning hard past 2 generations look at Ivy same issue as haswell they made you have to delid to allow overclocking which plainly shows warranty being voided add to it theyre quality controll many haswells were shipped with nearly 1/2 the DIE not even having TIM on them look it up many people delided and found 1/16th of what should have been there add to it the poor contact pressure between DIE and IHS cooks the TIM and turns the TIM hard and brittle making temps skyrocket at all times even when at stock .

The fact past 2 generations repeated same issue regardless of complaints and in general a known issue is hard to swallow the TIM is pennies to Intel to add better or more and as far as the contact pressure issue this is easily fixxed also they need more pressure and time on the chip while the adhessive cures / adheres and such instead they run them thru like a US Federal printing press makes money they dont have instead of fixxing issue they made it worse with haswell by adding more heatsource the VRM's.

I still feel Intel could give a rats butt about us the customers / consumers hince why they have done the quality control and such way they have and not learned from last gens mistake. I know about the cost to fix issue ( which is minor and pennies to fix ) but redoing same mistake on next gen doesnt show any care about us the consumer or enthusiasts this is why I dont support Intel anymore. I simply dont see quality there anymore and now support the underdog AMD and hope Intel will eventually learn from these mistakes and fix issue properly and increase theyre quality of products to where they used to be till then I myself will not support Intel.

I also want to point out I had a fully functional Intel haswell I7 4770k retail rig running for testing nearly 2 months before release and let me tell you the one I recieved had heat issues like no other and on stock settings under hard load hovered near 92c on H100I with yate loons high speeds in push pull doing encoding video with handbrake this I seen as unacceptable I never even attempted to overclock it no point unless I wanted a meltdown after release I sold my complete haswell rig for fairly cheap with gtx 780 in it and 1200w pc power cooling PSU for $750. I was simply mad and upset with Intel and wanted rid of it let someone else delid or whatever.
