4.5GHz is pretty much the threshold for Ivy Bridge CPUs on air/CLC before heat becomes problematic therefore I would say no to getting another 3570K. You'll likely reach the same clock give or take 100MHz unless you are super lucky and happen to land a sample that can do 4.5GHz+ on less than 1.3 V. What are the chances of that? If you want more performance consider delidding. It's rather easy with a vice, block of wood, and hammer. Delidding would easily net you another 300MHz thumb.gif

if thats true with another 300mhz i would be happy........but will i still get that poss. considering im using 1.392v for 4.5ghz???????????????????? i have to change my sig. i found some instability

Well at 1.92 V your CPU is likely headed for the grave biggrin.gif

It depends how far 1.45 V will take ya... if it's just another 100MHz then delidding is probably not worth it.

My delidded 3770K needs ~1.45 V for 4.8GHz. I can run 12 hours of Prime95 with the HE01 with temps in the low to mid-80s. With the Silver Arrow SB-E Extreme I was hovering in the high-70s. I was hitting these temps on stock TIM @ 4.4GHz 1.2 V !! Delidding makes a huge difference 10-20C guaranteed. In some cases you'll see as high as a 30C difference.
