running too hot?

Thread Starter

right now i have my 3700+ @ 2.5 and prime95 failed at test two for being too hot @ 44c

i have a zalman cnps7700 and i was wondering why are the temps so hot?

overall, my cooling is pretty good, i am not sure why it's getting so hot?

could it be my thermal paste?

hm.. something is wrong. with my artic freezer 64 i get 30 on startup w/ 250x11 & 1.5vcore. maybe it's because i have a side fan blowing into the hsf.

**your cable look like snakes.. heh. u should probably clean it up so your ran can get some fresh air.

Some cable management might help a little. Throw all of those PSU cables into the floppy holder or in the drive bays. There is no need to have them all strung out like that. Also, I would try to keep it up 55C full load. You have to have something else wrong, because Prime shouldn't fail because of 44C.

try to bump it up to 250x11. when i go lower or higher, it's not stable for some weird reason. so do 250x11 with 1.5 vcore and see what u get. if it's too hot, remove hsf and clean it up and reapply thermal paste. or u could get some sand paper and lap it before putting it back in =)
