Side Panel Window Options; Need a Suggestion!

Hello OCN! I have an 18"x18" piece of acrylic i just purchased for my NZXT source 210 elite, I am planning on making an entire acrylic side panel leaving about an inch of the actual steel side panel so I can easily pop the panel on and off. My question is, after I have cut the window out on the panel and cut the acrylic to size, how do I go about adding the window? I want to put it on the inside, and use adhesive tape to hold it in place. But i am confused on what to use as trim. I found some automotive door panel protective trim that mounts via 3m tape, but I am not entirely sure it'd work. What should I use? smile.gif

Most people just cut the hole with a dremel, add C strip to the edges, and adhere the window the the inside of the panel with strong double sided tape.

when i made a custom panel for my old case i didnt use any strip for the edge and the result wasnt bad

If i didnt use trim i would mount it on the outside and use small black screws to give it that rugged clean look. I have to have some sort of trim that i can cut at a 45' angle to give the corners a square look.

I used automotive door panal trim and 3m double sided tape and I love it. Here are some pics. I also painted the inside as you may be able to tell in the first pic.

I did have to stack some tape pieces to make it flush with the trim.
