Probably no difference for LightBoost.

But one can hope that the LightBoost compromises is fewer with this monitor -- that is something I will be interested in knowing about!

I want it too. I will be deciding between this and AOC g2460Pqu. Hopefully they both offer better picture quality than the Asus VG278H.

I am pretty certain the g24260Pqu, if it uses the same panel as XL2411T and VG248QE, will not have as good picture as the VG278H. Also some open questions remain about its true support of LightBoost. The one you probably want to watch is the BENQ XL2420TE, as the XL2420T has known to have had better 120Hz color...

The XL2420TE will indeed be interesting. I should be testing the g2460Pqu very shortly so will be able to see how it differs from the XL2411T and VG248QE and if it does indeed support LightBoost.

I would hope that the brightness range has expanded from "barely visible in a dark room" all the way up to "bright enough for direct sun". (Also, extreme brightness is needed for fairly bright LightBoost too)

Such a large brightness range, IMHO, is important -- especially when using the monitor in a room where someone is sleeping, and I've often wished Brightness=0% can be made more than 10 dimmer -- similiar to an iPhone's minimum brightness (such brightness is good for discreet use).

I would love to get this bad boy and remove the matte screen, but I do not yet possess the ballz to do that.
