3d bluray - nothing but problems

Thread Starter
All I want to do is play 3d blurays on my sig rig, with my hardware it should be simple right?

Well it's not working too well lol

All I have had is either the TV flickering on and off/lack of signal which I seem to have fixed now using a different HDMI lead

But also I seem to get the odd stuttering, mainly audio

This has improved greatly by trying a different bluray drive but I think I may still have it a bit

Basically just looking for some setup advice etc, anyone with similar hardware please let me know what software/drivers/leads etc you use, how you have it set up

What I should look out for as the culprit to my problems

Anything really

Please chime in if using 3d...

I use 3d bluerays on my rig, and really didn't have to do anything to set it up. Catalyst recognized my tv (32 inch visio 3d) and Cyberlink PowerDVD had no trouble playing a 3d movie. Have you tried 3d games or anything else using 3d, just to narrow the scope of the problem?

Haven't tried any games but I wonder if having used older HDMI cables and having an amplifier in the mix maybe the cause

I am upgrading the amp soon though and will replace all HDMI cables with new ones (not too sure which to go for, need to be cheap lol) and will see how that goes but any info in the meantime may help

I think my stuttering problem is my bluray drive

Tried a different drive out of my brothers laptop and it seems to be fine, it stuttered once a few seconds after it starting playing but then played for over half an hour flawlessly

Try to rip the blueray or download a 3d video, just to see if it will work with the drive out of the equation.
