I posted a thread a few days ago, because hard drive activity was stopping, the resuming in like 30 seconds. Here is the error I keep getting in eventviewer(all the errors are the same one).

Well.. What is currently connected on your first port?
Seems like there is an issue with it - be it the cable connection (which I highly doubt), the controller itself, or the drive.
If it's a hard drive plugged in that port, have you installed the SATA/AHCI controller drivers?
If it's an optical - you may try disabling it so we can figure out the next step. You can easily do that when you open Device Manager (in Win 8: Super/Start key + X -> Device Manager) and look it up, listed in the DVD/CD-ROM drives Double-click it / open Properties and under the Driver tab you can Disable it.

Idon' think its my hard drive, I've tested my hard drive with every error-testing program known, and 0 errors have shown up. Also, I've switched through 2 or three different cables, and I doubt they are all broken. Is their a way to test the sata controller on my mother board, or test the whole motherboard itself.
