Bigger isn't always better. Your eyes move more and tire out. I wouldn't want to be looking all over a 27" for certain games.

The other thing is Crysis 3 looks amazing even at medium settings which I think you will be able to do with the 570 at 1080P.

I wouldn't bother upgrading the GPU if you're getting a 1080P monitor. The other thing to consider is getting a used 570 and going SLi if your hardware permits.

This guy gets 30 FPS playing crysis 3 in 1080p on Very High with my GPU and Processor. I consider 30 FPS to be playable.

You get used to it. I have 3x 1440p monitors in eyefinity, and while it was at first a PITA, I got used.

I consider gaming in Virtual Reality with the Oculus Rift to be the future. It's going to make gaming on a conventional display obsolete.biggrin.gif

Simply put.... no. You will need at least another 570 for SLi at anything greater than 1080p and then you will hit VRAM limits for sure. One of the rigs I'm working on for a friend has a GTX 480 @ 900/2200 and it runs Crysis 3 Very High but I hit the 1.5 GB VRAM limit in 40% or better of the time... i ended up dropping the texture resolution down one notch on it.

Thanks! I've decided to wait for the consumer version of the Oculus Rift. By that time I can shell out extra $$$ for a better GPU like one of Nvidia's 800 series Maxwell cards.

Looking forward to experiences like this:

I think it would probably work well with most high end games... medium/low settings.
